appearances.....

they can be very deceptive......How we get carreid away with dirty looking uncared for people, thinking if they had better chances and oopurtunities. They will do better, look beter and talk better.....I used to feel for them and think the fight has gone out of them....and that is why it is so....but then take a walk through life and be observing.....not judgeing.....and you will notice that there is a total disregard for basic cleanliness and hygiene, whether it is rich or poor or destitute. what is it that makes this otherwise vibrant varied and colourful culture and spiritual race so so so.....well we can go on and on and on.....I still remember when as a teenager I didnot drop stuff on the road and or picked stuff lying o to be put inot dustbins and how my cousins laughed and called me mad.......i am trying to understand and make sense of it all.... next comes work ethics and self dicipline...

caste...class...creed....corruption.

I have traveled across most parts of my country to try and understand all these people made up of a vast variety of races, tribes, sub tribes, clans, communities, castes, creeds, in their original and mixed versions. The conditioning through generations and the influences of caste, community, creed, corruption, socially, religiously, traditionally, culturally, economically and politically on the human, emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually are that which make the people of this country (even this world), who they are, searching for their roots and identities through their feelings, thoughts, words and actions; And by a history filled with oppression and suppression by their own people and by invaders…I had to be very patient and persevering and had to first understand myself completely, to be able to understand even a little of this vast country(and this world) and accordingly shape my dreams, interests, aims and ambitions, through the journey of internal and external enquiry, exploration, experience, discovery, awareness, choices and ultimately sustainability as an individual and for the collective mass of human.

moving on.............

I think we are finally going to move on and forward and not be stuck with the non copyable options....... we have been invited and hosted by CREAT Pondicherry at their great new store on Rue Suffren where they have five guidelines for being displayed. and ladies an gentlemen, we were told that we were the only ones to fit all five of their criteria. So is this it....the pinnacle......well just joking....but it does feel nice to be accepted and recognised, despite all odds, against all odds. and while we are at this......

We have not forgotten our old faithfull and supporting free spirit of Pondicherry since 2005 August, the one and only, Pooja Rene of TouchWood, Nidarapayer street, Pondicherry. One of the last and surviving free spirits, like me despitle all odds and against all odds....

and for all our great disappointments in life down the last 42 years, we are marching on,..........
and we seem to have had a change of heart with the new gaurd of boutiques and stores in various cities. We have a microscopic magnifying glass with which we have learnt to filter, based on our guidelines. One of the most important basic requirement, is the open and positive spirit of the person who owns and runs such places......Life is teaching me that money is, but a by product of all work and not the end of karma yoga.......so we are also now with, The Contemporary Window, originally on C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer road on Alwarpet, Chennai, India and now in Besant Nagar! Mrs. Kalpana has been this very nice soul down the last 12 years that I seem to have fleetingly known her. She is a person of good human qualities and her ever smiling and supporting visage will be with us forever......so I am signing off now and keep you posted......roaming like a gypse and with the wind.....
